Shrine of the Necrodancer

Welcome to my first shrine! This shrine is dedicated to one of my favourite games; an indie game called Crypt of the Necrodancer.

Crypt of the NecroDancer is a roguelike/rhythm indie game. The story centers around a girl named Cadence, who explores a cursed crypt in search of her missing father.

Your goal is to reach the end of the Crypt and defeat the game's main antagonist, called the Necrodancer. Along the way you will find equipment and items that will help you survive the long journey down. You can unlock items, weapons, characters, and others as you play through the game and complete characters' stories.

The game is available on PC, Nintendo Switch, and PS4.

There is also an official crossover game between CotND and The Legend of Zelda, known as Cadence of Hyrule. Rather than being a roguelike like its original game, Cadence of Hyrule is more akin to the top-down RPG Zelda games, involving exploration and puzzle-solving. You mainly play as Link or Zelda, but Cadence is an available option, alongside other CotND characters like Aria and Freddie the Shopkeeper.

At the time of writing (11/08/22) there is a spinoff/sequel currently being worked on called Rift of the Necrodancer. All we know about it currently is that it takes inspiration from games such as Guitar Hero, Punch-Out, and Rhythm Heaven.

Currently I have 138+ hours of gameplay on Steam, and 15 achievements (they're kind of difficult to earn, but maybe one day I'll get everything...)

I own the game on both Steam and Switch! I also own Cadence of Hyrule, but I haven't actually finished it yet as of writing this... maybe I should do that at some point.

I've had this game since November 2019 or so. I still don't have much achievements, but some of these I can at least be somewhat proud of.

Nocturna Turn into a bat, Zone 5 infects all other zones.

Shovel of Courage Grants ''DIG DASH'', prevents damage if digging towards danger.

Crown of Thorns With enough kills, recover health.

Infernal Torch Breaking torch walls turns into a fireball spell.

Ring of Piercing All attacks pierce through armor.

The Conductor REALLY fun boss fight! When I beat her for the first time I was so happy that I just yelled. lmao
